Teachers really are superheros

So, yesterday was "Superhero Day" at our middle school. Most of the time I skip this one because I don't follow Marvel close enough...but since this is our last semester here, I thought "Why not?" Colin and I found some super crazy glasses at Party City, lots of red stuff at the Goodwill (although the tights were a momento from college track and field), and red hair spray. After the two of us got high of the hair spray stylin' the 'do, I blazed my way to school to surprise all the youngsters. And wouldn't you know, their first comments were "I thought we weren't allowed to dye our hair for school spirit days, Mrs. Roberts." Don't they know that teachers, for the sake of the ridiculous, bend the rules? (sigh) Someday these overachievers will learn to have fun...for now, they just relish the making fun of their strange (but let's be honest, SUPERFUN) teachers!
