Monsoon Bistro

Our dearest Indian friend (and our only) treated us to dinner at a lovely Vietnamese restaurant this evening. While I enjoyed scallops, Colin and JoJo hunkered down over some spicy chicken. And the best part of the evening was that we had wonderful service--plus we could bring our own wine. Wine always makes our meals with Joseph a lovely fanfare. Post dinner we sped (the guy averages 90 mph--no joke) away in his sports car (the BMW SI...something or another) to the theater-which was sold out of the movie we wanted to see. So, instead, we had a little middle school fun. Joseph was in the mood to "abuse" someone, and so we gave him our dear friend, "Fiesta Frank's" phone number. Before long, Frank was listening to an Indian asking him about details of his life that only to which his friends would be privvy. And while it was adolescent fun, we enjoyed quite the laugh--as did Frank--as he tried to interpret Joseph's accented English vocabulary (mixed with a few Spanish words newly apprehended). A lovely evening enjoyed by all--and I owe Monsoon Bistro (and our date, Joseph) many a thanks. Now, a little wii before sleep. I plan on whipping Colin in some bowling...
