We spent our last long weekend of October on top of the beautiful mountains of La Tigra. A German couple built a beautiful pair of cabins on some breathtaking property in the "buffer zone" of La Tigra National Forest. It was actually October weather up on top of the mountain (we piled on all the clothing we had), and we had a good fire in an adobe fireplace and a fresh, homemade vegetarian meal. Our friends (aka...Dunn's surrogate aunties), Jessica and Mollie joined us for the sweet get-away...and they also got a hold of our camera before we knew what was up. Que refresco!
This is ball is our traveling rocking chair.
On our short hike, we got a view of the cabin from the outside--it took them 3 years to build their home. And they've been entertaining guests for over 10 years now...

Thank you for your posts. As I do not do facebook, they are my connection. I love seeing the baby updates.

You are too funny!! I can't believe you took your "rocking chair" with you!
Hello, most grand friends! It's a pleasure, joy, contenting happy hoorah to see you in these pics, in the beautiful countryside, in the tiger mountains. Dunn has an awesome alien look to him sometimes, and coming from the old Botis, that means I pretty much think he's the coolest looking baby I've ever seen. Can't wait to go hiking with him again! Love you guys...
